The menu is divided into 4 parts - garden, water, earth and sky and draws mainly from fresh and seasonal ingredients. In the garden you will find pure vegetarian dishes, the water is represented by fish and seafood, the country offers quality meat and heaven desserts.

Olomouc cottage cheese

Olomouc cottage cheese has a history of more than 600 years and has been ripening in the A. W. cottage factory in Loštice since 1876. Genuine Olomouc cottage cheese is a natural, soft, grease-ripened cheese with a minimum amount of fat and salt, without any chemical additives. You can taste this specialty known at home and abroad in many forms, salty and sweet, in selected restaurants or at festivals across the region.

Olomouc cottage cheese is a unique and only cheese of Czech origin, which is known for its unmistakable spicy taste and distinctive aroma. It is one of the healthiest dairy products in the world. The Olomouc cottage cheese brand is protected by the EU geographical indication.

A great attraction for gastronomic connoisseurs is the April Olomouc cottage cheese festival in the city center combined with a tasting of cottage cheese specialties, presentations of regional mini-breweries and Haná folklore.

Cottage cheese desserts

You can taste completely unique salty cottage cheese desserts in the Tvarůžková confectionery in Olomouc and Loštice. It is most often a combination of puff pastry with fine foam from Olomouc cottage cheese.

Cottage cheese desserts received awards such as Regional Food of the Olomouc Region, Czech Appetizer and Top Product OK. The desserts also received the Haná regional product certificate, which guarantees their origin in the region and environmental friendliness in production.

Products with the Haná / Jeseníky certificate - a regional product guarantee a link to tradition, quality local raw materials and specificity for the Central Moravia and Jeseníky regions. In addition to traditional meat and dairy products, we also recommend tasting original cottage cheese ice cream from Lostice, snail delicacies, hazelnut butter, herb syrups, beer from local mini-breweries or chocolate pralines. You can buy certified products in selected stores across the region. In Olomouc, for example, in the Information Center in the arcade of the town hall or in the shop To pravé z Hané and elsewhere in the city center (Úzká street).

Brewing tradition

In addition to the well-known large beer brands - Litovel, Zubr and Holba - you will find several dozen small producers of unfiltered beers in the Central Moravia and Jeseníky region. The most popular are the Jadrníček Mini Brewery, the Kosíř Mini Brewery, the Chomout Brewery or the Svatokopecký Brewery. The largest concentration of local beer specialties is across Olomouc pubs, pubs and bars. If, in addition to tasting, you are also interested in beer production, you can take part in excursions or even beer brewing courses.
